INGREDIENTS:
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup water
Juice of 1 large lemon
METHOD
In a small saucepan, combine the 1 cup of sugar with 1 cup
of water and bring to a boil. Simmer over moderately low heat, stirring, until
the sugar dissolves, about 2 minutes.
Pour the syrup into a sterilized Mason pint jar and let cool
to room temperature, then stir in freshly-squeezed and drained-through-a-sieve
lemon juice. This step is necessary to omit any possible lemon seeds and pulp.
Cover jar and store in refrigerator, the syrup keeps up to 6
months. ~ Enjoy!
